SMY organizes a wide range of activities for children and families.<\/p>\n

Participating in the activity supports the development of language skills, and can encourage creativity and inclusion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Activities are organized in Finnish, English and Russian. Developing native language skills helps children learn new languages and reinforces their cultural identities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a rule, the activity is organized in SMY’s own premises. You can join the activities at any point of the year, and there is no pre-registration. Both Finns and children and young people who have moved to the country are welcome to participate. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Piano Lessons <\/strong>
\nTeacher Nataliia Koivuniemi<\/p>\n

Children get to know music in a fun way. Playing the piano develops logic, concentration and accuracy. Lessons are planned taking into account the children’s age and personal characteristics. After the music, we discuss the topic together with the children. The children get performance experience when they perform at joint evenings.<\/p>\n

In order to participate in the association’s regular activities, the child’s guardian\/parent must become a member of the association.<\/strong><\/p>\n

OTHER ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coffee and Company (free)<\/strong>
\nCasual hanging and talking over coffee with a changing theme.<\/p>\n

DUO Living Room Family Cafe<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is an intercultural, multilingual meeting place open to all. Whether you want to stay
\nfor the whole time or just drop by, you are warmly welcome. Coffee, tea, and snacks will
\nbe served.<\/p>\n

In the Family Cafe, you get to know other parents in the community who are in the same situation,
\nand the children get to play with other children of their own age.<\/p>\n
