Towards work life – project

The target group of the Towards work life –project is unemployed and long-term unemployed immigrants. The objective is to prevent prolonging of unemployment and to promote the employment of immigrants. To its clients the project offers and searches:

• work, work trial, and rehabilitative work experience
• training and education

and gives induction and also counseling if needed in the beginning of work or service.

Practical and tangible guidance in acquiring a job is given to the clients:

Helping out with work related document translations, writings (f.ex. applications, resumes) and with recognition of qualifications.

Giving information about Finnish working life, unions and work culture together with helping on preparing to a job interview.

Assisting on running errands (official forms, e-services) and guiding to various services.

Providing assistance for competence and occupational card trainings.

The clients are encouraged also increase Finnish skills f.ex. through  Elävä kieliketju  -practice and various Finnish language courses.
